My SDCC Derpy/Ditzy just arrived I had someone (@MiraiBaby on twitter) pick it up for me. I was, for some reason, anticipating one of the normal sized ponies, so having her be one of the fashion sized was a pleasant surprise! (And makes me feel a little better about how much I spent on her!)

I’m normally not one for displaying a toy in-box, because I feel is goes against what toys are meant for, but I REALLY love her box. It’s designed super cute, and I love the little 2012 on the back! So maybe I’ll display her in box, at least for a little while.

I’m so happy to have her though. Derpy/Ditzy is a pony that holds a special place in my heart. See, my left eye wanders a little. It’s not that noticeable anymore. I had a surgery two or three years ago to correct it (but it still does just a little bit). Before the surgery, other people never really seemed to notice it, but it was something that I was incredibly self conscious of. So even if it started off as a joke or an animation error, to see a character like her show up repeatedly and be so warmly received was kind of nice for me.

What a cool thing to have. I am so happy.
